BCCC seeks children and young people who love to sing and want to make friends!
Singers are chosen annually during open, competitive auditions and are enrolled in the organization’s progressive development program from ages 8 through 18.
You Qualify to Audition If You…
- Love to sing and possess a positive attitude
- Sing in tune and with a clear tone to balance with others
- Demonstrate a good sense of rhythm
- Commit to a one-year membership
On Audition Day, We May Ask You to…
- Sing along with scales on the piano to determine your range
- Sing a familiar song, like “Happy Birthday”
- Echo-sing melodic and rhythmic patterns
- Read a poem, provided by BCCC
- Sight-read melodic and rhythmic patterns
- Say a little about yourself
- No prepared song or accompanist required
Auditions for membership in 2011-2012
- Friday, May 13, 2011, 6-8 p.m.
- Saturday, May 21, 2011, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
- Sunday, May 22, 2011, 2-4 p.m.
Additional Info
- No pre-registration required, audition fee: $10
- Auditions for kids entering grades 3 to 12 in September 2011
- Auditions held at the GoggleWorks, 201 Washington Street, Reading, PA
